Restaurant bewertenI ordered the La Madeleine chicken dish. The taste of the chicken was really good, but the broccoli was much underboiled. It had to be damped for a few minutes longer. The rice I didn't want at all. The fireplace is a beautiful touch. Beautiful atmosphere, and there are outdoor seats.
Have to go the Pesto Pasta (no meat option) with a salted baguette and a cup of mushroom soup. Taste of everything is very good and I want to get back, but I feel the amount of pasta for the price of $10.89 is a tad small. The soup addition was $3,19. For $15.28 after tax, I could get something else next time. Not sure because everything was delicious.
This restaurant is the only La Madeleine in Tulsa. I have visited several times in the last 2-3 years. The service was quickly done with a smile, the portions were generous, but reasonable in size, and I was ready to travel 10 miles and eat lunch with friends. Last time I visited (Frühling 2022) and bought a salad-to-go. I was disappointed to see that the size of the salad was definitely smaller and the presentation, also for a togo option, was not very appetite. The service was the worst and was probably the reason for the bad presentation and serving size. The staff seemed to be very inappropriate, hesitant to answer questions, and without a mica of the customer is always a right attitude. They just stared at me without saying anything, apparently waiting for me to be the first to speak, even if other customers were in the line and it was unclear whose turn it was. When I came out, even before I looked at my salad, I praised that I didn't return. Well, today I decided to try again in the hope that the staff had changed. I had really hoped I could get the salad back, but a better quality. I went in, looked at who was behind the counter and heard a short time when they greeted the 4-5 treasures before me. I also saw the food service counter to see how appetizing and clean it looked. Zero to all numbers. STILL the offhand I-really-don't-want-to-be-your-servant attitude of the one, confusion on the other, and the service counter looks empty and inconspicuous. I went out. I should mention that after lunch I arrived at 1:00. Unless it changes unsafe for the positive, I will not return to this restaurant. What a loss! It used to be wonderful. It is cheap and completely unsatisfactory.
I always loved coming here. I always ordered the cafe sampler, made from homemade soup, thick cut quiche, fresh salad, along with everything you could eat bread, butter and jam. They also offered fresh pressed lemonade. Not anymore. Today nothing is homemade (from the ground on). The quiche is like something frozen from a grocery store food aisle that drank soup or crowned, and the salad was something feasible. However, the days of fresh bread and freshly pressed lemonade are away. To eliminate everything, the bill was at least $5.00 higher than a year ago. I won't come back, and I doubt this restaurant will be here right away.
I love coming here. The staff is amazing, the food is good, and everyone seems to enjoy their job. Hazel is so friendly and will clear your table quickly. Andrea is super nice and quick with a greeting. I cannot leave out my favorite Dallas. Friendly and kind with a great smile first thing in the morning that makes the day a little brighter. Last is Nick that you can tell leads the staff instead of managing them. It shows in the performance of every employee... highly recommend for lunch the chicken salad. Breakfast everything is good.
