YOKA Japanese & Thai - Truro

Despite online showing AYCE is 33.99, when we got our bill the actual cost, which we were not informed of upon being seated was 39.99 per person (week day supper). The server said something about having trouble updating the web site and it not working. Pretty sure advertising one price and charging extra is illegal. Even with this insaine cost for sushi, they still limit some menu items to weekend only and again charge more. I'll drive to Dartmouth next time for sushi. Not once did they clear any dishes from our table. Quality was good.

So Very Disappointing after all the HYPE. This restaurant is rated 4*-doesn’t even come close. Our waitress was 5*, service from the kitchen 1*, food presentation and quality 1*. The food for the most part was cold or lukewarm when it was to be hot and everything had a taste of cilantro. You get charged a dollar if you need more dipping sauce when you are already paying $29 pp. they will not allow you to have two guests at the same table to order all you can eat with the other ordering single dish. If you want to do that you have to sit at separate tables. The food served was cheaply made and absolutely not like in their menu photos, the soup was not even what was described. When I questioned this the waitress seemed embarrassed and helpless and could not explain. I would not recommend this place. The pictures show what we got and what is described on the menu

The waiter admitted that it was common to find hair in the dishes. This response is completely unacceptable!

It was a fun experience to order from an ipad, and we loved the all you can eat concept. The portions are small which is good because it allows you to try many items. However, some of the items (especially the pad thai) were disappointing. But overall, fun experience for a reasonable price.

This restaurant offers the best lunch! The food is fresh and clean, and they are very Covid-friendly. The customer service is great as well. For just $19.99, you can enjoy all you can eat. If you're in Truro, you must visit this place.
