Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen - Troutdale

I was a little confused as to where it was located as it is tucked away behind the country diner. Shares a space with Subway. Staff here are friendly and make sure you are getting a deal. I was just ordering items separately as I didn't know what constituted a combo, and they made sure I got the combo price. Service here is quick, just a few minutes to get my chicken sandwich and Mac and cheese. All the utensils I needed were already in the bag. I had no need to go up and ask at the counter. Food was served hot and ready to devour. Mac and cheese was nice for fast food. Didn't taste artificial like KFC does. More homemade quality to it. Chicken sandwich is always a favorite of mine here. Crispy and plenty to fill me up.

Their Chicken sandwich is pretty good in a vast sea of competition, but the Popcorn shrimp was great . You have to ask for the shrimp without the combo and a good price by itself but I don't care for their combo options. I wish they had Sweet Sour dipping sauce but can't fault their selection of other sauces as it's impressive. Place was busy as that Truck stop is the last food for many miles a mix of truckers and families loading up on carbs proteins before going up the Columbia river gorge, or people coming from the east and first stop. Pro tip, if you want extra sauce, it's only 1-2 per order. Extras are .35 cents so who doesn't want a lot of sauce or options? So get your sauce order in with your food because you hold up the line when you ask for more when food is ready plus it annoys everyone. Decide your order, get in, get out, don't hold up the parade. Busy place!!!

Love their food. But the wait is way too long. But then they are very busy. I've had to wait 30+ min in the drive through. My husband loves their cod sandwich and spicy chicken. I love the mild chicken and the chicken sandwich. I'm only giving 4 stars because of the long wait

The manager was visibly out front complimenting her employees and coaching on tasks that needed completion. She was very much in control of her crew. She was kind and the employees were friendly and efficient. The food was better than we’ve had at other locations. It was fresh and tasty. My bag broke when I picked up my order and 3 people responded with a better bag and many apologies! The food was unharmed. This little location is inside a truck stop that is under renovation, no bathrooms, just outhouses out front. The Popeyes store itself was clean. These people are making the best of a not so great situation and offered great service and a quality product! Thank you!!

So my honey and I went to Popeyes and each got a mashed potatoes and coleslaw with a biscuit!!! So yummy couldn't put it down. Giving them 5 stars!!
