Restaurant bewertenHyde Park Drive-In Theatre is a relic! A drive(-in) backwards into a time when drive-in theaters were everywhere. I grew up not too far away from here and it was always cool to drive by, and catch a scene or two from the road behind it. I've come to the theatre a number of times and it's always a fun time with friends or for a date, or with the whole family for the more kid-friendly double features. You pay per car and then drive up to a spot. You then turn off your car, except for the radio, tune into the audio station, and watch the movie from your car with the sound coming from your own car. It's a really unique experience and a lot of fun. Definitely pays to have a larger SUV/minivan where you can put the backseats down and lay in the trunk under the comfort of a blanket. They have a small little shop where you can buy snacks for the movie, but I've never been stopped for having a car full of food so I'd say just pick up something from a cool local spot. If you have time beforehand, take a trip to nearby Rhinebeck and pick up something there!
What a wonderful, long time tradition to come here with friends and family.Great location, fun snacks and great movies and staff. We love it here and hope it’s always around.Nothing better than being able to go to a drive through. Not everyone has these anymore.
Always a great spot. My friends and I frequent this place. Reasonable prices, gives you the nostalgic feel of drive ins.
Great spot to watch a movie. Not too expensive. Friendly staff. Food is good and reasonably priced. Bring Off! on warm nights. Bring a sweater or blanket on cool nights.
I love drive ins but this one is just not good. It was expensive, the bathrooms are horrendous (flooded sinks, clogged toilets, dirty, crooked toilets, etc) and the most annoying part is how bright the snack shack and the edge lights are.. it messes up the screen
