Uwe Majesteit - Torremolinos

A really good place to eat, eating is smashed! we had the rips with fire potatoes (with tweepers), probably the best they will eat. only three years ago, had to come back and try again. the owners have a winning formula and it shows how it is busy. the staff are very friendly, attentive and speak a series of speeches. do not expect a Spanish food, that is a Dutch restaurant and it is great!

Outside of this restaurant is a large sign that says The best spareribs in Torremolinos. We ordered them. First the owner put some brown sauce on the table in a very small glas dish. It tasted like a down market version of MacDonald's barbecue sauce....When we asked her if it was a MacDonalds Sauce, she said no I buy it. We always expect for the best spareribs in town tthat the cook makes his own sauce. Then came the ribs they were very large chunks of pre-cooked brisket. They were so stringy and pre-cooked that the meat fell off the bone when moving it on the plate and the stringy bits stuck in between the teeth. The owner said you don't like them? We answered NO, the cook should do something better to which she said I am the cook. Then came the bill there was no apology, nothing. These spareribs were double the price of the other meals. Years ago there was a man cooking in the kitchen, what has happened we don't know but looking at the other guest meals it is clear that she cannot cook. Beware stay away.

We have been visiting this restaurant in Carihuela for years and have never been disappointed. We had this most amazing fillet steaks last week and the service from Annabelle and staff is always great. We visited again at the end of our holiday for...a different meal which again was excellent. Highly recommended. Will be back in October. Mike Teresa
