Fantastic service, and decent food! I ordered a beef tamale and chicken enchilada dinner plate (includes beans and rice), and I was a little disappointed in the sauce. Nothing was spicy like I had expected, but if spicy is not your thing and you enjoy Mexican food, then you'll like this place. When I went (10/14), masks were not mandated for fully vaccinated people, and there was both outdoor and indoor seating. PEOPLE LOOKING TO GO ON SUNDAYS: This location closes at 7:00 PM. The hours on Google Maps is wrong and I've sent in an edit suggestion already, so hopefully that gets cleared up soon.
Great tasting food, MASSIVE quantities, very friendly customer service. I had the Chile relleno with rice and beans, and it was smothered in cheese and very filling. The relleno was wrapped in a scrambled egg and tasted a bit tangy and sour. I’ve never had one before, so that was quite interesting. They provided plenty of salsa to further flavor the food, too. Asked for extra chips, and they gave a bunch of tostada shells... which I suppose are basically the same thing as tortilla chips but just bigger, lol.
Definitely my favorite LBJ location. Always good sized portions. I usually go for the burritos which are big and filling. This location had a clean dining and restroom as well.
Ordered carnitas for family dinner, came with rice, beans, chips and salsa, choice of flour or corn tortillas. Special also included 2 drinks, good deal. Tasty and fresh.
