Ginger Restaurant - Toronto

So, not my first choice on this strip...just to be clear. It seems a far cry from when it first opened, but it will do in a pinch, if you need a quick nosh. Decent food, and it's ready fast fast, but, if you eat in it's noisy and only reasonably clean.

This restaurant is fast food Vietnamese.Place is very busy at lunch time between 11:30am-2:30pm.If you come between this time pretty much anytime of the week you will be waiting in line to order, and for limited seating.The food, from fresh and deep fried apps to Pho noodles and rice dishes, food is cooked fresh.

I come to this place AT LEAST once a week for my lunch break. However, I will never be returning again. one of my co workers had a hair in her food but she did not complain. Unfortunately today I had the SAME experience. I order the beef vermicelli and had a long CURLY hair in my noodles. I called back to complain and they gave me another order (I was NICE enough NOT to ask for my money back) on the second order there was ANOTHER hair cooked into the beef. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE WILL NEVER RETURN. When I called another time the response and service was POOR she stated she did not know how to handle the situation. Please if you eat here make sure you have good eye sight. Never Again.

I decided to give this place a whirl for pho take-out, but it left much to be desired. There was nothing wrong with the service, but my dish was mediocre. Filling, yes. Flavourful, hardly. The hot sauce was diluted, there was no hoisin or soy sauce provided. I ordered the rare beef and beef balls, and received fully cooked beef (not the end of the world,) but the beef balls tasted off. I MIGHT go back to try the Viet Sub here, but wouldn't ever order the pho again.

Food was not bad but the place could use some cleaning. The gentlemen at the cashier does not acknowldge or thank you. Place is well located, too bad the service had to be that bad.
