Canadiana Restaurant & Banquet Hall

I went there once for brunch, asked for a regular grilled cheese and it was well done. Good service and good coffee.

Had lunch there with a group of women, and every one was quite pleased. Service was fast and very friendly. Garlic toast comes with lunch, but it was way too greasy and not hot enough. The servings are quite large. Would try it again.

Went here for a Birthday dinner last week. The food was bland beyond bland. The Caesar salad had no flavor whatsoever! The prime rib was the most disappointing part. Not only was it over cooked it was bland and lacked all taste. The garlic bread was a soggy oily mess. We were very upset and will NEVER be back! The food was so bad it tasted like frozen dinners defrosted! HORRIBLE!!!!

My 92 yr old uncle loves the Canadiana. He's been going there for lunch, dinner, & even wedding receptions most of his life. It's his "go to place" when he takes friends and family out for a meal. Yes, he still drives & goes out & this is to his favourite restaurant because it's easy to find, there's parking, & it's familiar. The food is good & the service fast. I've given it a poor rating because I was upset by the way our server treated my uncle when we went for dinner Feb. 27. It was a Monday night. There were only four tables filled. One lady on staff recognized my uncle as we arrived & chatted briefly with him. That was the last of the friendly service. Our fine meal was marred, for me, by the disrespect & condescending manner of our server. My uncle fought in the war to ensure the rights of people like this young man who, for example, tossed a take-out box on the table & told my uncle to fill it himself since he wanted to take his fries home. This young server's demeanor towards an older gentleman, who was one of the very few patrons in the restaurant that evening, was curt almost to the point of being rude. Sadly, I know we'll return because we all love our uncle and go where he feels comfortable. If we get the same type of service though, I will definitely (but quietly) go & find the manager!

This restaurant has an amazing banquet hall. The friendly staff. They serve the best hourdourves. We always have the prime rib, by far the best anywhere. Other choices are the salmon and the chicken parm. I have not heard of anyone having a bad meal here in the banquet hall.
