Restaurant bewertenHave only ever had hot drinks here, but it's a cosy bolt-hole and usually has at least one vegan cake. Also has vegan crepe and galette options but I've not tried them.
I had a buckwheat galette with beetroot hummus, tomatoes, fresh spinach and vegan cheese. It was very tasty and I enjoyed every mouthful. There were crepes which could be veganized and a vegan salad. The coffee was very good and there was a choice of plant based milks and vegan cakes. The Boathouse Cafe is only small but like most of Topsham is an historical building. There are trains and buses to Topsham from Exeter, the county town of Devon. Well worth a visit. ,
The savory crepes are nice, most of the sweet crepes have vegan alternatives. The chocolate paste crepe is very tubby feeling. Friendly people, dog friendly, nice interior, but oddly sticky tables
Although not a vegan cafe by all means, the owners of The Boathouse were very accommodating and had a few options available. Both my husband and I chose the Boathouse Salad with homemade beetroot hummus which was delicious. Hubby then had the banana and chocolate sauce crepes which were delicious. Well worth a visit if you’re in the small town of Topsham which offers limited options for vegans.
