Virg's - Tooele

I love this clean restaurant, with the ambiance of the ship decor is awesome. The service is great. The food sizes are delicious and enormous. Love this place.

I've visited the new location twice, and I'm not sure I'll go back a third time. During my first visit, I had the cod, which was excellent. However, yesterday I tried the turkey and Swiss sandwich, and it was disappointing. The bread was extremely thick, making it hard to eat without squishing it down. It was also lacking in condiments like mayo and had no salt, resulting in a complete lack of flavor.

I enjoy the food, but every time we've visited the Grantsville location, the air conditioning has been set to 77°F, which makes it uncomfortable to fully enjoy the meal. We attempted to have dinner there on 7/16, and the thermostat read 81°F. We ultimately had to take our food and leave. I spoke with the management; they acknowledged that it was uncomfortably hot but said they didn't have the authority to adjust the temperature. The restaurant didn't have this issue when it was Casa Del Rey.

The food is consistently excellent, and the portions are generous, so you never leave feeling hungry.
