Pizzeria Pozzo Beccaro - TODI

Pozzo Becaro is not fancy but it is a neighborhood favorite judging by the numbers of locals dining with their families. There is list of red and white pizzas is detailed and all we have selected have been delicious. Pizza Norma with eggplant, pizza Amatrice with bacon and onions, the margarita with tomatoes, cheese and basil, all were p,ate size and piping hot from the oven. The food comes out quickly making a winner with impatient children and they have a play area where kids can run . Pizza is served only at night and reservations on the weekends guarantee you a table. The waitstaff is wonderful with a great sense of humor .

This pizzeria was within walking distance for us and offered a view of the valley and the church of the consolation. We each ordered pizzas from a long list of options and everyone got just what they wanted for toppings, mushrooms only, anchovies only, olives and artichokes and prosciutto, olives and mushrooms. All were served quickly and were delicious with a variety of cold beers. The waitstaff was very accommodating and although we were early diners by Italian standards, the patio filled up as we ate.

Great pizzas, however, meat also very good value. I had the tagliatta with porcini mushroom last night and it was HUGE. Enough beautifully seared rare beef to feed two, if not three for Sunday lunch. All for 13 euros. The home roasted potatoes are also excellent.
