Restaurant bewertenVery good meat and mol sauce; very old and dry chicken. Good service, unhappy. Not inclined to come back. Disappoint. will not come back
We were looking for a restaurant in Tlalpan and went past this place several times because it looked more like a small bar with just bare minimum food. Finally we arrived and were surprised by the cozy/romantic atmosphere and the interesting food choices. We had... a Mezcal flight that further strengthened our mood. The waitress was very friendly and explained (all in Spanish, of course) all the details of the different Mezcals. We'd like to be back.
This little bar is located just off the main square in Tlapan Centro, an old town nestled in the middle of the Monster that is México City. I went there because I have had excellent mezcal produced by the Alipus trademark. I took advantage to...tryi out different styles and types of mezcal. I would have wished to try them all but I wouldn't be here to write this note! The waiter was knowledgeable and helped me through the four caballitos of mezcal. As we polished off the second, he rightly suggested that we have something to eat. So we had some pescaditos and tlayudas. Both we the real thing! Delicious, quality and authentic with their own touch. And all the food comes from a tiny kitchen where one can see that the chefs know what they are up to. Definitely worth taking the time to go there. (By the way, it is not far from the La Joya or Caminero stop of the Metrobus line 1, if you are on foot.
This street has an incredible vibe at night and the place is in the corner of the street. The food is not bad but the place is small. I would suggest just to stop for a drink and a snack.
Excellent stop for mezcal, Oaxacan food and beers in the Centro de Tlalpan!! Good for cold beer ... next to the nice Tlalpan market, city square etc. Really good mezcal and mezcal cocktail selection ... good Oaxacan food. SOLID!! Decent price point as well.
