Sabor Cocina Mexicana - Thousand Oaks

My wife and I enjoy dinner at Sabor especially when it coordinates with a show at the Civic Arts Plaza. It's probably the best Mexican restaurant in T.O. The menu is unique.

Loved Sabor! We took our kids and my daughters friend from France for Valentine's Day. We made a reservation for 8pm but we showed up 30 min. early and they were kind enough to seat us. Everyone was so kind and made the night wonderful for all of us. The food was incredible as always!!

My favorite Mexican restaurant. I always get the shrimp enchiladas. Their special margarita was outstanding as well.

The restaurant is incredibly loud. they sat 5 adults in one standing for 4 people, so three of us were very crushed. they did not put chips and salsa on the table like any Mexican restaurant in the city. we had to ask. then, when we asked for something more served in a tiny bowl) the server told us we had to pay for it. none of us had ever experienced that he was accused of salsa, and the explanation of the manager was “You know that it is very expensive to make it”I all recognize bs when we hear it. between their already high journeys and this cheap setting, no if we go back there.

This place is ok, the service was substandard! They charge for chips and salsa! We spent over $200 in food and drinks but had to pay for chips and salsa. I don’t mind paying for anything if it’s worth it but this is tacky!!
