Restaurant bewertenI popped into Jinky's a few week's ago before they were open. We spoke to the owner Pasha, who explained they would be opened soon. Monday I was in TO and we stopped there for lunch and it did not disappoint! I had the best burger and fries. I used to frequent the one in Sherman Oaks and loved their breakfasts. I'll be trying that next. They have a small bar and very casual atmosphere which I love. We spoke to the owner again letting him know we'll be back. Thank you Jinky's!
ALERT! New ownership change as long standing Jinky's fans we are thrilled with the new ownership! We have been patrons of Jinky's 2 3 times a week on average for at least the last 10 yrs+. It's incredible to see an owner on the floor and greeting people. The difference is palpable!! We adore all the Jinky's staff Tony, Limberth, Michelle, Jasmine, Joey, kitchen crew et all. Everyone is pleasant and works so very hard! We believe in Pasha the new owner and this awesome crew! They are doing such a great job during this transition which is always challenging. And for anyone looking for a top notch **** Mary Limberth knows how to make a good **** Mary so ask for it! We noted prior negative feedback which was not our experience at all! We have no association with the prior or current owner, this is experience based. Pasha the new owner is dedicated and engaged. When was the last time an owner greeted you at the door? We believe in supporting local, hard working businesses. We remain dedicated Jinky's patrons. Best wishes to this team and we look forward to seeing our Thousand Oaks Jinky's grow!!
I don't know why Jinky's isn't more crowded. We went there for breakfast this morning and it was wonderful. I ordered a Belgian waffle with fruit. Some fresh fruit, some frozen and lots of yummy whipped cream. My friend had the breakfast special. $12.99 for two pancakes (huge) two eggs, two bacon and a cup of coffee. We will be going back. Good coffee and they give you a little coffee pot to keep at your table. Great service.
We had not been to jinky's in a while and we stopped in for breakfast on a Friday morning. The reason for this really poor review is simply this. The prices are outlandish. Tony, the manager was really nice. Our server Jasmine did a great job. The food was very good. However, when we first came in and sat down and ordered coffee and then looked at the menu we got sticker shock. These are the highest prices I've ever seen for breakfast in Ventura county. To add insult to injury, there was a notification on the top right of the menu that said 3.95% surcharge added to cover rising minimum wage costs. I blame this completely on the owner who I googled and found was a person named Marshall Rothman. Apparently this has been going on for a while and their business seems to be pretty bad based on the very few tables that were occupied when we were here. I think this place used to do a good business before their avaricious turn. I hope that Mr. Rothman decides that having more business is a better business strategy than screwing his employees by hurting their tips. It's the law of the land to give them a better minimum wage. It's a rule of greed that he decided to take 4% for himself from his customers.
Three stars mainly because of the service. The two people that served us seemed very young and inexperienced. Took a long time for them to take our order. They didn't bring out items we asked for like a spoon to stir coffee and extra napkins. When they brought the food I was handed my plate and it was really hot. He didn't warn me at all and I had to put it down fast. We ordered the crunchy French toast to share and the plate literally just had the toast on it. No garnish or anything. I'll keep coming back because it is convenient and the actual taste of the food and portion size is four stars, but they need to tighten up the service a lot.
