While true BBQ pitmasters might not be keen on sauced meats, this is good food in a fun atmosphere with great service. Predictably delicious in every state I’ve tried at every restaurant. It’s good , hot, and served pleasantly. Brisket lovers from Texas will not spit it out, but they should stick with the ribs and pulled pork. The chicken is alsoalways juicy and flavorful. The burnt ends are fine for the rest of us. I wouldn’t pass up Nordy’s up north on the interstate or GQBBQ south on interstate or especially Wayne’s off 36 in Superior for great brisket and legendary smoke rings,but for a late night quick bite with some smoked meat and great sauce, you can count on Dave’s to deliver
Made a reservation online and we got there and they told us they don’t do reservations online . Took another 20 minutes, then our food came out at different times.
Awesome servers? Worked exceedingly well with our large party (10) special requests and was very attentive.
Our first order was a cup of chili when it was placed on the table, it was cold. One of the people in our party ordered Brisket and there was a round piece of bone in the meat it BRISKET . The Mac n cheese was cold we brought it to the attention of the waitress and she said well, it is meat, it could have bones in it you must be careful It's Brisket it shouldn't have bones! I stepped out to go to the lady's room and 2 out of the 3 stands Dirty was one of the toilets wouldn't be flush. The other was full of toilet paper around the edge of the toilet the whole bathroom stunk . The only useful stable was the handicap. I drew all this attention to waitress Patricia! She was very short with me that I do not appreciate her answer to everything that was brought to her attention, that she bleededed everything clearly what was said. We spend 120$ I wanted to give the waitress a 20$ tip. When she charged us, she had a very bad attitude. she was short and her exact words. Here and left. The tip went from $20 to $9 I feel I am a decent tipper! because I fully understand how it is to be a waitress. I would have taken the problems and made them aware of my managers and apologize. When we didn't get a word from the staff at the front end. We visited this famous Dave every year for my father's birthday. He died last year in January and that was his favorite place to eat for his birthday and today is heavenly birthday. In the first year we celebrated him. And we were not satisfied or impressed by food or personnel.
