Taqueria Acapulco Authentic Mexican Food

As a Latino foodie from the West Coast who grew up on Mexican cuisine, I was on the hunt for an authentic Mexican restaurant. After doing some research, I decided to give this place a try, and I can confidently say that the food here is absolutely fantastic! I ordered a bowl of Guerrero-style menudo with hominy, and the savory flavor left me completely satisfied. A little note: they don't typically prepare the menudo with hominy, but I requested it specially from the posole they make. The handmade corn tortillas were also excellent. My wife ordered the birria tacos and commented that they were delicious. The prices are reasonable, and I will definitely return to explore more of their menu, especially for Taco Tuesday. The chef came to our table to ensure we were enjoying our meal, and the friendly waitstaff were attentive as well. Take it from me, this small family-run eatery is a must-try Mexican restaurant in High Point, NC.

My 6-year-old son and I really enjoyed our lunch after church. The service was great, and the food was incredibly delicious. I loved the atmosphere, especially with Temerarios playing in the background and the beautiful artwork on the walls. Our fajitas and menudo were fantastic. We can’t wait to go back!

There's nothing quite like entering a new restaurant with the intention of supporting it and trying something fresh. I decided to order the special, Casillos de Puerco (spicy but absolutely delicious), along with four steak tacos and a steak burrito. I requested extra onions and cilantro, and they made sure to charge me for those extras. I left a tip over 20%, but for some reason, when it was time to dig into my burrito, the only thing green inside was lettuce. It’s frustrating to go out of your way for a meal and realize it’s pointless to call and request a refund for that missing item. Unfortunately, this was my first and last experience at this restaurant. It’s important for establishments to pay attention to new customers, especially those who show their appreciation with generous tips.

Absolutely delicious! I adore the authentic cuisine at this place. I keep coming back for more and love trying something new every time.
