Restaurant bewertenMy wife and I had lunch at the clubhouse outside. Unfortunately, the fish dish was dry and bland, so my wife couldn't eat it. We also tried the apple crumble, but it lacked flavor. Overall, we were very disappointed with the food. However, the staff was excellent and accommodated our needs. There are much better places to have lunch in Kilkenny.
We stayed overnight at the hotel and had a good check-in experience. The room was very nice with a good bathroom. However, we felt that the hotel was trying to cater to too many different types of guests, with a golf course clubhouse located next to the hotel entrance and overflowing car parks for both golfers and hotel guests. We enjoyed the stable bar, which was pleasant and well-managed. Instead of dining at the hotel restaurant, we opted for Lady Helen's fine dining in the manor house, for which we needed a lift due to bad weather. The breakfast we ordered as room service was okay, but my wife's cooked meal was very ordinary, not up to the standard expected for this type of hotel. If you're looking for a golf getaway, this might be suitable, but the hotel itself did not meet our expectations. Others may find it more appealing.
Played golf in Mount Juliet last week ! Super course ,it will be a brilliant venue for the Irish Open this summer !
Played a round of golf with some lunch beforehand and dinner after in the new clubhouse (Jack's Bar). Chowder and toasted sandwich. Chowder was ok, sandwich nicely presented. We had burgers and the crummed cod for dinner. Both were very nice. All very happy with...the meal.
This immaculately maintained course challenges seasoned golfers largely because of its length. Beautiful holes, lovely club house and excellent snacks.
