Royal George Hotel - Thagoona

Had lunch here for the first time and was wonderfully surprised at the quality, size and price of the meal. The staff are all friendly and the meals delicious. Our group had fish, chicken, chips, salad and it was all good. Would go here again even though we live on the Gold Coast. I got grilled Barra and it was only $16 with chips and fresh salad.

We had lunch here yesterday and was amazed at the price ($12.50) for meals off the lunch specials board and the size and quality of the meals. We both had crumbed steak and chips and salad. Both meals were delicious and actually felt there was too much food. Good selection off the lunch board - salt and pepper squid, braised steak, pork or lamb roast, sweet and sour pork, fish and chips, rissoles and a couple more not thought of. Desserts were only $6 too but from what we could see the patrons were too full after their mains to have any dessert. Staff were very friendly.

They pour the best icy cold beer, and their lamb chops are delicious...well worth a hours drive!
