Restaurant bewertenThe food was wonderful and plentiful, but the drink selection was quite limited and disappointing. There weren’t many options available, and some of the drinks were not very appealing at all. In the photos, two sandwiches were missing.
Our recent experience at The Wickets was incredibly disappointing. The service was shocking, and our waitress was quite rude. When the food arrived, it was lukewarm at best, and some items were clearly reheated, including hard chips served on cold plates. To make matters worse, I found two hairs in my food, and my chicken pie was also lukewarm. It took under five minutes to replace it, suggesting it had just been microwaved. The desserts were no better, with our orders mixed up and a cold pie served to us. We have been dining at The Wickets as a group for over five years, and it has always been a pleasant experience—until now. This was our first encounter with the new owners, and it will definitely be our last.
The food is wonderful and feels homemade, offered at reasonable prices with quick and efficient service. I enjoyed the fish and chips, which were quite delicious. It's always great to support local businesses.
I recently celebrated a family birthday lunch at this restaurant, and it was a fantastic experience! The food and service were exceptional, and I would definitely recommend the pizza. I ordered the surf and turf, which was absolutely delicious. It seems to be quite popular, so I'd suggest making a reservation online. Although the website doesn’t display the entire menu, there’s a wonderful selection of tasty dishes available. The price per person is around £10–20. Overall, I would rate the food a perfect 5!
I visited this restaurant for the first time today, and the food was absolutely delicious—properly cooked and very good value for money. It's also dog-friendly, which is a plus! The staff were fantastic as well. I highly recommend this place! Price per person: £40–50 Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Atmosphere: 5/5
