The Village Fish And Chips

After a three-hour drive to Shaldon, we were craving fish and chips. However, we were disappointed to find that the fish was dry and the chips were greasy, to the point where our bag was full of grease. Sorry to say, we were very disappointed with our meal.

We went to this restaurant last Saturday and we were very happy that we did. Our family of 4, who were staying at the holiday park nearby, all ate for less than £30. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, despite being very busy due to the high demand. The Donner meat and Chips were absolutely delicious! We will definitely be returning next year when we visit Shaldon again. I would give it a rating of 10/10, or even 11 if I could!

My wife and I called for fishcake,chips and peas one evening. the fishcake and peas were fine but the chips,were terrible.

Excellent fresh, moist cod in a delicious, crisp batter. The chips were fluffy and crispy. Top marks guys! We’ll definitely be back when we’re next in the village.

We were excited to have some delicious, fresh fish and chips for dinner tonight, but unfortunately we were very let down. Both of our portions of chips were nearly cold and tough, despite being just a minute away from the shop at our holiday home. The portion sizes were large, but unfortunately, most of it ended up in the trash. The fish portions were also not hot and did not taste freshly cooked. Sadly, we will not be coming back to this restaurant.
