Restaurant bewertenWas so stoked to go here as a fellow baker in the business. It was in the afternoon around 2 on a Friday. I walked in asking about the sourdough bread. The older woman at the front desk pulled out a pamphlet and placed it in front of me when I asked if there was yeast in the sourdough. “It’s easier for me to just show you.” I didn’t think much of it, just guessing she didn’t have much knowledge of what she was serving.I decided on the sourdough and a pack of oatmeal cookies (super tasty! . Before I was given the total I asked about a bathroom. She rang me up, with a delayed response of “Did you read the sign on the door? No public restrooms.” Once again I didn’t think too much of it but started to realize her tone was kind of nasty.I then waited for her to give me my total because I was paying in cash. We basically had a staring contest until I motioned my eyes down toward the things I was trying to pay for then met back up with her gaze. She gave me my total, finally. I thanked them, the older woman didn’t respond, but the gal in the back thanked me for coming in.All in all if that woman is working there, I won’t be back. And the sourdough is not true sourdough, it’s spiked with yeast.
My husband and I stopped in for the first time today. We bought coffee crumb cake, cannolis and bread. They were all out of Boston cream donuts and they actually offered to make us some if we were willing to wait 10 minutes. Who does that?? Everything was delicious. We will definitely be returning to this hidden gem!
