Restaurant bewertenThe food at this restaurant is excellent and the staff is very friendly.
Let's start with the fact the food was edible and tasty. BUT I would equate it with a reasonable pub meal, not the a la carte (& associated price) advertised. Stuffed chicken in a bacon, mushroom & cream sauce equated to a cream sauce with very finely diced ham and glimpses of mushroom stalk? my entire meal comprised one sliver of mushroom that was identifiable as a mushroom. Passion fruit cheesecake had obviously been defrosted as the biscuit base was warm. Not what I expected or paid for.
Very welcoming and friendly waitress and delicious meals. On my first night in Taree, I went here for dinner because I had arrived late and didn't want to look for anywhere else. I found myself there the second night as I was so impressed from the night before. The beer was very nice as well.
I eat here now and again when staying at the motel. It used to be a Brazilian based menu which was great but the ownership has changed. The meals are more homely however they are good and are always well presented & tasty. The locally produced beer from Port Macquarie is worth a try for the uninitiated with a few styles available.
I stay at the Best Western Taree Motor Inn twice each month and eat at Rio's each time.Great home cooked meals.Waitress nice young girl, friendly, attentive and always greets me with a smile.Cold beer waiting for me at the end of a long day.
