Restaurant bewertenGood bbq. Small beers in plastic cups. Had to request bbq sause and they brought me a small cup of it for my sandwich. Good mac and cheese. Expected something better. But still satisfied.
Very disappointed with my experience here. Ribs were very dry and tough. I had to actually try to get the meat off the bone. Sausage was good, but that was the only bright spot in my visit. Mac n Cheese tasted like it came from the frozen food isle in the grocery store. Will drive out of my way to go to other bbq places that have good food, for much cheaper.
It had been a while since I visited this place. On my visit back I had learned they were closing due to food poisoning. I offered my help Ed got snappy with me. I was harassed and used without notice of special operations and plot to take over property without delivering my share. Giving me a lot of heat. Nevertheless, concerning my visit I witnessed a couple things and decided not to order. Once I review the reports and have received updated information concerning the facts I will report.
We are so glad we discovered this restaurant! We were at a nearby location looking for BBQ when we noticed the sign for John Knox. Although we had some trouble finding the exact location afterward, we eventually made it. When we arrived, the restaurant was empty, but we were quickly greeted by a lovely and attentive lady who handed us the menus and patiently waited as we decided on our takeout order. We opted for the traditional pork BBQ sandwiches, which were amazing! I also got a side, which I absolutely loved, though I did wish the portion size was a bit bigger. Our food was prepared quickly, and overall, it was a wonderful experience. This will definitely be our go-to BBQ spot from now on!
The banana pudding is absolutely incredible. The ribs were tender and well-seasoned, and the dipping sauce on the side had a nice kick to it. The service was warm and welcoming. I will definitely be coming back!
