Restaurant bewertenThis has become my go to stop it for Vietnamese in Tacoma. Popped in on a Friday night and got a table right away I was blown away by the prices, and even more amazed when the food came out. The Bun Bo Hue was fantastic (I was asked if I wanted the optional blood cake and pig feet. Of course I do) My date had the vermicelli bowl with shrimp and pork. She got that again went we went a few days later. I had the duck salad Whichis the perfect balance for a cold day. Cold salad, duck and hot soup. Will be back again and again.
This place has the best pho I have ever had in my life! The soup has very strong nutmeg taste so if you are not a fan of it you might not enjoy it as much as I do. They are very generous with the amount of good served. You can choose the size of the pho which is also a plus. It's definitely a hole in the wall kind of place. It's not very fancy but the food is what I care most about. Would definitely go back again if I ever pass by Tacoma.
Their main menu is not pho but I love their pho soup. It's a bit sweeter and more cinnamony than usual.
I would like to call myself a professional pho eater. I have been to most of the pho restaurants between Seattle and Olympia even a few in California. I feel that the dragon offers the best pho soup around. The restaurant is very authentic, rustic, and cosy. The owner is a very nice lady as well as the chef. The restaurant is in the Lincoln district of Tacoma but it adds charm and character that alot of places wish they had. I usually try to get there before lunch to avoid the crowds but I'm willing to wait for her pho for hours. This soup is life changing and once you try it you'll be hooked. Cheers!
