Menu offered local favorite dishes and did have a kids menu. The hotel was busy and the staff were short, but they worked hard and were friendly to ensure a good meal.

The complimentary breakfast that is offered at this restaurant attached to the Hearthstone Inn. ( check out my review of that also)My breakfast was 3 sausages cooked wonderfully, 2 overeasy eggs perfectly runny and a mountain of homefries to fill you up. Greg, the chef is a character and an awesome cook, as our breakfast was great EVERY time. Coffee is homemade and fabulous. Sherry the witty, bubbly quick as a bunny server starts your day with a wonderful smile and a laugh. She remembered our order day to day, and the breakfast presentation was the same all week which is wonderful. We stayed for lunch one day as we were actually going to see other sites, and was outside and smelled what was like burger heaven. We went back in and were not the least bit dissapointed.3 Sliders, bacon, cheese, chipoltle mayo, and a side of seasoned fries filled me till supper. This is $9.99 CDN and well worth it.They also serve a buffet on the weekend but we didn't indulge in that as we were away.Stay at the Inn, and enjoy the restaurant attached, you won't be dissapointed.

The food is very good and so is the service. Varied menu, reasonable prices, and good size portions. Wait staff was helpful and friendly.

4 of us enjoyed lunch here on a Thursday and it was not very busy at all. The food was very good but the waitress was a bit rough around the edges, although she was friendly enough. She is acquainted with one of our party so possibly that is why. The food came in a reasonable amount of time but not quick. I did not pay so really not sure of the value,sorry. I would go back again.

While offering a limited menu and seating, this nook is primarily designed to serve the restaurant within which it is located. However, the front desk staff were happy to take us in and the breakfast was very good and delivered in a reasonable time frame. We were on a schedule trying to take the ferry to Newfoundland and the waitress was happy to oblige our hastened request for the bill.Overall great food, great service, and friendly staff.
