The Red Hen - Swedesboro

We wanted to try something different and my daughter found this place on south Jersey food. Well they didnt disappoint. Amazing food we all had different things nothing but amazing. My daughter had the all American burger she said it was to die for. Then we ordered the real crab fries to go with our dinner instead of an app glad we did. Soooooo good. My husband had the the short rib pizza. I dont remember the name but he didnt get horseradish sauce on his pizza. He only ate 3 slices of his large yea we brought it home. I got the fettuccine with mushrooms and bacon meal so good. I totally will br back again.

I went for my birthday and I absolutely loved the staff everything was amazing!! We sat out on the patio and had the best waitress who wrote happy birthday on my check and made sure I had a great birthday!! Winter was adored by staff that gave her a water bowl!! I didn’t even ask. Will go again go Red Hen!!

Great options on the menu there is something for everyone. I had the blush penne vodka, and it was a really lovely meal. The cornbread with sweet butter was another highlight of my dinner. I recommend stopping in if you have the chance!

The Red Hen is a great place for a meal. It’s a large restaurant, with a full bar and delicious food. The drinks were well made and generous. Our waitress was very attentive, the food came out quickly, and as ordered. Large family with kids at a nearby table had a great time and their monster cookie with ice cream looked delicious we had the bread pudding for dessert, and it was delicious. The restaurant is very manageable and accessible. There are steps leading up to the bar (from the restaurant side), but one could wheel in they the bar’s front door. There are tables outside as well (in front and at the back). Clean, large bathrooms. Street parking was easy, but there’s also a parking lot.

We dined at the Black Sheep (connected to the Red Hen), and it was an incredible experience. The atmosphere was beautiful and ethereal, the staff couldn’t have been more polite and accommodating, and the food was so good you’ll have to go yourself. The owner herself came to ask us how everything was. Not only this, but her and her staff created a special plate of their delicious Chocolate Ganache Tart with special message for a celebration. They were incredibly accommodating and all of the food was incredible. Lastly, it wouldn’t be doing the place justice to forget to mention their vast vegan and gluten free options. Vegetarian options: I am vegan and my mom is gluten free. There are vegan options, vegetarian options, and gluten free options. Along with combinations of all of the above so anyone can feel welcome and dine here stress free. However, they have items across the board; so anyone will find something the love here.
