Restaurant bewertenOur group of 6 fell in Grand View Cafe for a quick lunch before heading to Anchorage. It served its purpose, but was nothing remarkable food way. I ordered the Chicken Fried Rice and I should have known better than getting it in distant Alaska. While a considerable part, it left much to wish. There was nothing really remarkable about this court compared to others I had. You have an extensive menu with foods of all taste profiles and origin. I would be open to try something else than those in my group enjoyed their meals. The service was a little slow for what I hoped for during lunch. There were two people in the work of the front counter and a person cooking. When six of us arrived, I expected it to be a little slower, but not as long as we wait. In addition, a member of our group had lost their order. Our group sat outside to enjoy the view of the glaciers and the mountains around us. This has not disappointed and if you stop here for a quick bite and the weather is nice, absolutely make it a point to sit outside or at least through a window!
The food is very tasty, especially the beef soup! The RV site and facilities are very clean and well maintained. The host couples are very nice and hospitable. Whether you visit the Matanuska glacier or just walk by, this is a great place to stay, rest and eat.
Stop for Chai tea and searched for sheep. It is a very nice café with many options. We met the Asian Lady owner and her husband. You are very friendly couple. It is definitely worth stopping for a snack break or lunch / dinner.
The host Nancy us very nice and friendly we have come from the same country China! Good and clean facilities! This is my first stop trying to camp. Good experience
This review is for the campground. Clean, individual bathrooms but very tight. Pay showers. Foilage between sites, which is rare in AK! Good, gravel sites, mostly level. Full hookup site was $69. Campground is well kept. Surrounded by mountains!
