I called the restaurant and spoke with a female manager about the issues. When I mentioned the missing au jus, she suggested I come back. I explained that it was a 30-minute drive, and her response was, "So what do you want me to do about it?" I asked her what the usual course of action is in such situations, but she told me that for something so simple, she couldn’t even offer a $5 credit. At that point, I made it clear that we wouldn’t be ordering from them again. After paying over $20 for two dry sandwiches and $16 for a greasy, boiled steak without any gravy for the mashed potatoes, I genuinely felt ripped off. The box the steak was in was so greasy that it soaked through the paper, causing us to lose half of the mashed potatoes, which got mixed up with the paper. I strongly recommend saving your money and going elsewhere. The food was terrible, and the customer service was even worse. They couldn’t even manage to fulfill the basic components of our order. This has been the worst dining experience I've ever had. I’ve encountered bad service before, but nothing like this. I wish I could give zero stars. After the manager’s dismissive response about the au jus, it was clear she wasn’t interested in addressing the other issues I raised. I hope she reads this feedback and realizes the importance of good customer service. It’s crucial for her to ensure that the quality of food leaving the kitchen meets standards and that employees are properly trained to read orders thoroughly and include all necessary items. If those items are so simple, why were they forgotten? Perhaps she needs to take her responsibilities more seriously.
On a scale of 1 to 10, I'd rate the food around an 8. It's a great value with larger-than-average portions. However, the service could use some improvement. The main reason I'm inclined to return is because of June. She goes above and beyond to support the waitstaff and contribute more than anyone else I've seen at that restaurant. June handles everything from seating customers to delivering food and refilling drinks, and she does just as much as the waitresses. Without her, I doubt the service would be good enough to make us want to come back. I've given a five-star rating because I believe everyone has an off night now and then, and they deserve the benefit of the doubt for the time being.
I had a truly disappointing experience at this restaurant. It's surprising how they could get bar food so wrong. After just one bite of the greasy burger, I had to spit it out. It seemed like the only flavor came from a dirty grill and excessive grease. To make matters worse, the iced tea tasted muddy and looked unappealing. The only positive aspect was our server, who was attentive and handled the situation well by removing the burger from our order. Now, I'm left searching for another place to eat.
The egg rolls—I'm not sure of the name—were delicious! The hamburger was good, but the ribs I ordered well-done were undercooked and inedible, so I had to send them back. On a positive note, the servers were excellent!
