Mesquite Fresh Street Mex - Surprise

Mr. Mesquite is definitely the best place to get street style tacos in Surprise! They cook their meat over mesquite lump coal right in front of you, nothing fake about the flavor. All their ingredients are fresh and they build your food for you to your liking. The prices are definitely reasonable. My family and I got a family meal of steak tacos for $35 that was enough for 4 hungry people to eat to their hearts desire. At least than 10 dollars per person, that?s a steal! My 5 year old loved it so much that he said he wanted it everyday, and we literally just went back today so he could have more tacos! The dining area is also very clean and kept up, and all staff wears masks and are super friendly. No one making you feel like they don?t want to work there. I highly recommend this restaurant!

So when we first got here we were unsure what to expect. The restaurant is comparable to Chipotle but with a different taste. The food was delicious and the price was reasonable. Good selection, kids menu, beer and a good fountain drink option.

Not sure how this place got rated so high but first we ordered a veggie protein bowl and it had meat in it. Got a side of guac and it was literally a paste they squeezed out of a bottle no actual chucks of avacado no onion no tomatoes nothing. Beans tasted horrible. Only thing good was the quesadilla and the rice. Don't think I'll be going back glad we only spent $20

I really enjoyed my corn flour street taco. I got the steak with cheese, cabbage, their red sauce. The red sauce has a kick but not burning my mouth hot. The staff was super friendly too. I would definitely come back for more. The other person I was with said her steak was a little dry that's why I am giving it a 4 star. Will update if I come back!

Went here for lunch got one kids meal, 2 chicken burritos, and a protein bowl, and 3 drinks. We spent almost $50 ???? on the upside the portions were a healthy size. I feel the chicken was a little too burnt for me. If I were to make a suggestion I would have more options for the kids meal other than just quesadillas.
