Crab Pot - Surf City

The food is amazing! The crab legs are so delicious? The steamed shrimps were fabulous! The shells are not so good! Over half of the shells were not opened! The ones we could eat were really good! The bench was very unpleasant! The person waiting for us will let the rest of the staff do their job. No refills, no service, it took our order and that was it! Great food with an uncomfortable environment and a terrible waitress???????? Return to 9 22 2022 and the crab legs were amazing! This loud rap music from the kitchen disturbed the beach theme and dinning room beach music! I would think the owner would want business and would NOT let the kitchen staff play loud open music!????

My daughter said I want to go somewhere where we can eat crabs. We have a steamer pot with snow crabs, mussels shrimps. Delicious. Our friend had the crabcake sandwich she said was delicious. The drinks were good that we were not alcoholic as there were 2 teenagers and I drove. Arnold Palmer was not too sweet; Shirley Temple was great and the Virgin Peach Daiquiri was delicious!!! The waiting staff was wonderful. There was a DJ that night playing fun music (also the teenagers with me had a bubble that heard music before they were born). The only thing that wasn't good was that while the smoking area was out, it was right outside the area where we sat and it came in the screens. Absolutely recommend this for seafood night out.

At 8:00. Close time is 9 o'clock. Wait 30 minutes for a table for 4. The party of 6 was set 15 minutes before us and checked for us. We did not sit in the restaurant, but in the bar on a bench for people 6-foot tall (I am 5-foot tall and could not reach the floor) We went to Lobster; they were out. No, Corn on the Cob we chose. You should have left. He was waiting for our food for 45 minutes. Mahi Mahi was overcooked, Crab cakes were ok, and 4 scallops were very good. The others only ordered fries, chicken strips and salads. No air conditioning! We were sweating at 9:00. It won't be back.

The menu was small, but I think it's so that they can get a lot of table sales as this is a small seafood restaurant and seems very popular on Topsail Island. There were two waitresses who managed the bar/dining area where my family was sitting, both friendly and professional. For a bar and grill on the water it was very clean and we all loved the decorations. The fish plates we all had were fresh (very fresh), as they still had bones in them. It was delicious, and I would definitely go back when I'm in Topsail Island.

Honestly disappointed with our experience last night. The hostess was rude, the wait for food was an hour and a half, the portions were small, and the crab cake sandwich was pretty bland. However, the waitress was nice and a couple of menu items tasted good, like the zucchini fries and the crab legs. Overall I wouldn't recommend this place
