Restaurant bewertenThere’s nothing like getting out of work at 2:30-3:00 in Worcester and taking art 20 home. I drive by a very large amount of various restaurants, sandwich shops, etc. I get home to check on my very I’ll wife to make sure she’s alright, hasn’t fallen, and see what she needs, if anything. Sometimes, she’s well enough to stand and cook, most times she’s in so much pain, she can’t move without crying out in severe pain. So, we decide what we’re going get for dinner. Sometimes we decide to get a sub from Subway. Let’s take yesterday for example. Subway, inside a convenience store/gas station. It was supposed to be 10:00 am to 8:30 pm. 8:30! Not 4:45 pm! Two different sites list the hours different by an hour, but the official Subway site states the hours I mentioned. When my husband walked into the doors that the store and Subway share, he was furious to see, yet again, it was closed. My husband is a regular at the store and the employees said, “it’s closed hun, they closed and took off at least and hour ago…which meant the 2 young kids working had left at five of 4 pm. Not even close to 8:30. Keep in mind that this is a convenience store/gas station/ and a Subway that are all right off the Mass-pike exits, the Subway store is on the highway sigh for food at this exit. If you’re store is listed on a highway sign, and people and so many people are traveling through here to go to Boston, Cape Cod and the islands, and this area of the Mass-pike that the highway branches off for people to go to New York and Connecticut, why bother list your restaurant on the Mass-Pike? What’s the point of people wasting their time getting off the highway to grab a Sub to go if you’re not going to be open? This area of the highway can get extremely crowded and the traffic can be backed up for quite some time. Why bother getting off, finding that your closed? Yes, McDonald’s, Burger King, Wendy’s, are open, Panera Bread has fluctuating hours, BUT you’re listed on the highway sign. Especially for people who don’t want to feed their kids fast foods, and adults tend to want food sometimes, not always greasy burgers and fries. I’m not a huge fan of Subway as it is. I find your sandwiches have a funny taste, like a processed flavor compared to other popular “sub/grinder/sandwich” shops. And to see the meats measured out to the EXACT amount, and your even super cheap with the mayo and other condiments. And God forbid your looking at the options to put on your sandwich, the “sandwich artist” gets snappy and having one person at the counter and the other making bread or working in back, it sometimes takes a half hour to get to the counter. If your store wasn’t within walking distance from our house, we’d probably stick with the Pisa and sandwich shops around the area, because their hours are what they say. And, lastly, the person who runs this franchise obviously doesn’t keep track of their employees and how their store is being run. I’d be furious with my employees and keep an eye on my restaurant with surprise visits, ask the convenience store employees to call me if they leave early, at least until the problem is rectified. Otherwise, you might as well just close. What’s the point of closing before or near dinner time?
Absolutely love this Subway! Great service and fantastic subs! 5 stars
