Restaurant bewertenMy first time at Morton's and it didn't disappoint from my starter Lobster Bisque to my main course Cajun Ribeye Steak, Fried Green Beans and Garlic Mashed Potatoes to my dessert Strawberry Cheese cake surrounded by the most delicious lemon sauce. Everything was exceptional
The service was okay, there weren't too many people but it still felt slow. The structure of the tables and stuff at the restaurant was just really poorly set up too, like things were too close together even though there was a lot of space. The food was honestly pretty bad too. I understand it was probably busier than they usually were, but I don't think that justifies the steak being undercooked and burnt at the same time. Like I don't usually leave such vivid reviews, but spending almost $250 on steak and potato that had an overall cardboardy taste is insane. I waited so long to review so my date wouldn't see it and feel bad. That's how subpar it was.
The had our number of diners wrong and then had us wait for table to be set correctly. Then they took us to table stuffed in a reserve backroom with one too few seats. The waiter took 10 minutes to get us menus. He then left without asking for drink order, then he came and took drink order 10 min later and we had to stop him from running away to give appetizer order. After appetizers he finally asked for our main order and sides. He then disappeared for 20 minutes without asking for drinks. He arrived with three main dishes, missing four. He gave them to adults, and I ordered a glass of wine. 15 min later he brought other main orders but no side orders and no wine. I had ordered my steak medium and my steak was past well done. He came back 15 minutes later without wine or other drink orders and without side dishes. I showed him my steak and he took it and left the room. At that point I had not had anything to eat but an Oyster and piece of bread. I went to the bar to get my glass of wine and never had dinner. The manager asked what was the issue and I explained and she said she would take care of it . My wife showed up ten minutes later saying we were leaving and showed by the bill for $480! Nothing was taken care of and every aspect of the evening was poorly handled.
They did not have the carrot cake!! We were counting on gobbling up two pieces! Seriously, I think they need to put carrot cake back on the menu. Or we will just have to go to Hyde Park to get it!
Was there for an engagement party.Everything was top notch !!!Excellent !!!
