Lovely pub! Seated swiftly with no prior reservation and drinks orders taken. Good choice for a sunday menu explained with recommendations from our server. Food arrived in decent time and it was delicious. Will eat here again and recommend to our friends.

Walk in dinner guests with some stringent medical dietary requirements in the party. Couldn't have been more pleased with the interaction with bar staff and chef to ensure they could accommodate our needs and wow! they delivered beyond our expectations with one of the best menu adaptations with very tasty fresh food to the table. Very impressed with the food and service, my Steak was cooked just how I wanted it, massive chunky chips and a super dessert, we would recommend The George to anyone! Keep up the good work!

Two night stay. Made to feel welcome from the outset. Nice comfortable room albeit on 3rd floor. (Feeling my age! Lovely food and massive breakfast. A little disappointed that as a resident there was not a table reserved for evening meal. (Make sure you book it A table was made up for us in another secluded area in the bar. Young and very hospitable staff. Credit to the company.

Went for birthday lunch without booking there was 6 of us food was outstanding and service perfect Danni was all smiles and attentive, would highly recommend
