Restaurant bewertenWe moved into Southam recently and like our Indian meals, so we were hoping our local Indian restaurant, The Balti Hut, was going to be nice and important to us, had friendly staff. We were not disappointed and can thoroughly recommend this restaurant and yes, we were very happy to quickly be on first name terms with Bobby, Icky Inman. We’ll be back again soon!
My partner and I absolutely love dining at this restaurant! The owners and staff are always friendly and have a smile on their faces. As vegans, it can be challenging to find curry houses that cater to our dietary needs, but here they always go above and beyond. If there's nothing on the menu that suits us, they are more than happy to customize a dish with our favorite veggies and flavors, made fresh from scratch. The food is always top-notch, from the popadoms to the rice and roti. I highly recommend supporting this local business, as the staff are always courteous, attentive, and personable, and the food is consistently delicious and prepared to our liking. I would give it 6 out of 5 stars if I could! Another plus is that you can bring your own alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages. The owners are incredibly kind, and the rest of the staff are friendly, which is important to me when dining out.
First time ordering from The Balti Hut, and definitely the last. I wish I read all these reviews prior to ordering. My food order was collected, and considering I live minutes away the food was absolutely stone cold. No authentic Indian flavour at all?! (I see many other people have mentioned this! The Samosas and Onion Bhajis were something you’d get from the frozen isle of Iceland! Dinner was awful, dry meat and so tasteless. Whole family agreed they didn’t like their food. Don’t order from here. Save your money and go elsewhere.
Very disappointed ordered a takeaway, we recieved not even half a bag of chips, ordered a cheese nann which had no cheese at all. Also the tandoori meat was not very nice. We have ate here quite a few times however won't be again.
The chicken tikka in the meal had no tandoori flavour. I may as well of had plain chicken. The massalla sauce was very disappointing, with no authentic spicing. It was like a jar sauce with no texture. Naan bread was very small and flat. No fluffiness to it at all. The take away experience was all very odd, the restaurant was in darkness, no music or ambiance and it was quiet apart from another customer chatting with the owner who was using a lot of loud expletives in conversation (the customer). I was so pleased i didn't have the children with me and to be honest my gut reaction was to walk out and i wish i had. I wont be recommending or going back. Much better to travel into Warwick.
