Restaurant bewertenWhen we returned to the reception to report the issue, we were told that it would take 30 minutes for someone to come and address the problem. An hour later—30 minutes past the scheduled time—no one had come to check on the issue, and the attendant was unfriendly when we inquired about a solution. Fortunately, they eventually moved us to a different room, and the next morning they found our reservation and refunded the money we had initially paid. If you're planning a trip to Death Valley, be prepared for a somewhat basic establishment. However, given the price, I urge the management to remove such rude and arrogant employees, as they contribute to an inevitably negative experience. Rooms: 2 Service: 1 Location: 3
The kitchen is disorganized, and some staff members, including Edward J. Schell, Jevette L. Miller, and Deborah Lewis, disregard basic hygiene protocols while preparing food, such as washing their hands and wearing hairnets. There is hope for improvement, as the company is set to change management in January 2024. Regarding nearby activities, there is a souvenir shop, a gift shop, and local sand dunes to explore. Safety should always be a priority while visiting the park; I recommend carrying either one gallon or half a gallon of water and wearing sunscreen, along with using a GPS for directions. As for the restaurant's offerings, the menu is decent with solid choices, and all food is prepared a day in advance. My ratings are as follows: Rooms: 3, Service: 3, Location: 2. One positive aspect is that the hotel atmosphere is quite peaceful.
However, there were some drawbacks: the air conditioning was quite noisy, and I encountered many crickets and small cicadas in the room. They seemed to come in from the door frame and the fire hydrant. This issue should be addressed, as I had to remove at least fifteen of them. If someone who is easily disturbed encounters this, they may refuse to stay in the room. Overall, I would rate it: Rooms: 2, Service: 4, Location: 5.
The hotel is very well placed in Death Valley but invaded by CRICKETS. The rooms are modest but again overrun with CRICKETS. The wifi only picks up in the reception. There is no cold water, only hot water. However the restaurant is good. Rooms: 1 Service: 4 Location: 4
Great, and only, place to stay for miles to give a person the chance to experioence the wonder of Death Valley. The rooms and restsaurant are a great way to relax and cool off after a day in the desert. The staff are fabulous and treat you like they've known you for years. Rooms: Great rooms. very clean and well-maintained. Food drinks: Great food and drinks, no matter if it is breakfast or dinner! Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Quiet
