Duke Of York - Stockport

Nice recreation bus to the airport is directly over the road. we paid £3.10p each to go to the airport on the bus, I think it was the red bus 199. it was perfect.

Stayed here with friends as we were going to a music concert. Hosts were great. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Lovely breakfast. Highly recommended.

Stopped in for a quick pint after work, staff were lovely and friendly, inside is well cared for and well maintained. Bathroom facilities were spotless, a lovely surprise. Only negatives were it was a little pricey, but it's to be expected with robinsons pubs. The outside area could do with a little revamping, but I understand most pubs just don't have the budget to do so, but this could be a really lovely sun trap with just a little more landscaping and better furniture. Overall though, definitely recommend stopping in for a couple if you're in the area! :

Thursday night and the Duke wasn't far from our hotel, so we thought we would try it out. It was very quiet, not unexpected given the current climate. The bartender was polite. We sat in the larger room to the right of the bar. It looked fine, seats were comfy, music wasn't overbearing. The lighting felt slightly dim so we sat in a corner next to one of the lamps perched on the side. It's a pub, they serve alcohol. It's all good.
