Marx Fusion Bistro - Stillwater

As I told my husband, I always enjoy being seated in the bar. The bar area was lively and our bartender lived up to my expectations. She had one bar back working with her and she was able to handle the bar as well as the three tables in her section. Unfortunately the food didn 't live up to what I had hoped. I ordered the sirloin medium rare. It arrived cut up into small pieces/strips cooked far longer than medium rare. I suspect that it was sitting underneath warming lights for far too long. When your server warns you that your plate is really hot, that means its been under the heat lamps for awhile. The steak was not flavorful in the sense that grilling imparts flavors from the heat sours. Everything else on the plate had a mushy texture. With regards to the menu, I 'll say there wasn 't anything fusion about it. There was just stand alone items/words that could be construed as coming from different global styles of cooking (Tempura, Taco, Pizza). If you do decide to try this place out, sit at the bar. Have a couple of drinks and order a pizza.

One of the best meals I've ever had!!!! Yummy yummy delicious food! Compares to NYC without a doubt! Wine is to die for.....

Food is a bit overpriced and but great chefs. Cocktails are wonderful wonderful wonderful! The bread with the cocktails is a wonderful touch and is SO go. I've had excellent service and not so good service depends on their mood.

Made a reservation on Wednesday for Friday evening. Arrive on Friday and they are closed for a week according to a sign on the door. Would have appreciated a phone call.

During our visit to Stillwater, we were thrilled with our experience! The food was absolutely exceptional (the pictures don't do it justice). The flavors were incredible....
