Restaurant bewertenThe menu has changed and not for the better. Very expensive. Our waiter was not the greatest. Kept removing dishes as we were attempting to eat and visit. If I pay 15 for a salad with no protein I would expect it cut up or on a bigger plate and with more than a drizzle of dressing. Ordered large order of biscuits which were delicious but served with a quarter tsp of butter and jelly.
Did not realize their menu had changed, as the old menu is still online. Wanted to go for lunch, but not open until 4:00. Decided to go for dinner. Found it very expensive. Ordered “Tree Salad” and it came in pieces, so had to assemble it on the plate. Our waiter needs to learn that he didn’t need to remove our plates as we’re taking the last bite! It was very annoying. Won’t be back.
Absolutely don’t miss this complete gem! Food was delicious gorgeous presentation! Outdoor seating was pretty dog friendly. Our server was friendly, attentive knowledgeable. Very conveniently located near the Penn State campus. We’ll be back!
I used to go to Gigi’s at least once a month. I loved the fried chicken tenders and Caesar salad. Both are now removed from their menu. I tried the Rasta pasta, anchovy Caesar salad and chicken and waffles. There were so many ingredients in the Rasta pasta and it still tasted bland. The chicken and waffles had a weird gravy and spinach on it. I spent $90 on this these items and had to throw them out. I do understand that new chefs have new visions but this was not it.
We were passing through State College, looking for a unique dining experience Gigi’s was the best ! Tate was really friendly server and made lots of suggestions . The food was terrific it reminded me of Commander’s Palace/NOLA inspired menu brunch and craft cocktails
