Dimare Pastry Shop - Stamford

You know, DiMare's used to be a rival bakery pastries used to be out of this world, as well as their cakes. But I've ordered from them the last 3 times and I've been so disappointed. The cherry on top was today, Jan 6th, for King's Day. I called in at 9:40am, to see if they had any King's Day cakes. I had told them it was not pre ordered but if they had any available to sell for the occasion and was told yes by the girl on the phone. I asked if they by any chance had any that were gluten free, and although they didn't, I wasn't too upset bc oh well, that's on me right. I let her know we would be by later to pick one up. My niece went to go get the cake and was told no, that they couldn't sell it to her bc it wasn't preordered. I'm beyond disappointed with them.

For many years here. The new generation of young girls working here is extremely rude. Didn't even recognize me standing in the store for 10min. When I said, apologise to one of the young girls turns to say looking at death, they are busy. At least recognize someone. I've never seen worse service. She never apologised or came to help an elderly woman not rude) came to help. Totally embarrassing. And everyone looked like they just rolled out of bed... I won't be worth it.

Sliding layers of cake, lard and sugar icing, the candles couldn 't stand. Wrote a whole review which isn 't showing but needless to say this hit or miss was a miss for my 50th birthday. Mush. Not to mention the gold fairy dust and dark frosting. The mocha filling layers were thicker than the cake layers. It 's not worth eating or sharing with anyone A terrible disappointment. Was supposed to be a black forest cake...ah, no. Pretty bad. Maybe they pick and chose who gets good product or who gets to bake. Whatever it is this was horrid

Delicious! They were so kind, stayed open late on Christmas Eve so we could get last minute sweets. We bought $80 worth of goodies no regrets! Literally everything we bought (cookies, cakes, sweets) was perfection.

If they were an old person and how traditional old “Italian” bakeries, then this is for them. If they like cakes that do not taste like box mix, this is probably not for them. that tastes like box mix 100%, although they claim that they are made from scratch.
