Restaurant bewertenIt's not every day that you get to take a photo with a hero who has served in the Vietnam War, the Korean War, and World War II. But that's exactly what we did during our visit to the restaurant.
I enjoy karaoke night at this restaurant. It's a fun experience with a friendly atmosphere. The food is decent as well.
This is a fantastic restaurant! The food was delicious, the drinks were top-notch, and all the customers were friendly and welcoming. As a former American marine, I felt right at home.
Fantastic artifacts and history on the walls to consider but eating was terrible. ordered a ribeye to cook medium size, got a good-done piece bland leather in the suit. the ordered bourbon chicken wings and the sauce was good, but meat terrible. has not finished any appetizer or main course. the price was very high for the portion and quality, very disappointing experience.
The Globe and Laurel is an historic landmark in Stafford. It started out in downtown Quantico in the 1970's, then moved to Triangle after a fire destroyed the original site. It finally moved to the current location several years ago. Major and Mrs Rick Spooner truly made it into a wonderful restaurant and historic tribute to the Marine Corps. The Globe and Laurel survived a rocky transition after The Major retired, but is now open under a new owner and management which show great promise of a smashing revival! We arranged for a group of 30 to meet for dinner there last week. Everyone had a wonderful time, thanks to the very welcoming staff. Although the staff was a bit short handed, they made sure our group was well served with good food and wonderful ambiance. Marines attending our affair included one WW II vet, several Vietnam vets along with wives family and friends, one Navy Corpsman as well as a couple of Basic School Lieutenants. What a great place for such a group to gather! We highly recommend giving The Globe and Laurel a try. My husband and I are going back for lunch this week. The food was good!
