Steak N Shake - Springfield

Excellent shakes, the cheese burgers were wrapped so you could eat in car without a mess, appreciate the extra effort. Friendly window staff. This all while they were busy around 3:30 pm. Thank you

The Frisco Melt at this restaurant never disappoints, but this time it came without the guacamole sauce I usually like to have with it. They were out of guac? However, I did try the chocolate chip cookie dough milkshake, which I have had before, but not since COVID-19. It was not quite vanilla, with no cookie dough pieces in it. The whipped cream on top was also odd. Overall, it was a bit disappointing.

I really enjoy Steak 'n Shake. The last time we went, they forgot to put cheese on my 7x7 burger. I recommend trying the 7x7 burger with 7 patties and 7 slices of cheese, along with all the toppings. It isn't listed on the menu, so you'll need to ask for it specifically.

The service at this restaurant was atrocious. It used to be my favorite spot to dine, but now it's definitely not. I placed an order for carhop service and waited 25 minutes with no one bringing out my food. I eventually had to go inside to retrieve it, only to find that it was cold as it hadn't been kept warm. Working in the food service industry myself, I cannot comprehend how a restaurant can lack basic customer service and attention to detail. I believe giving this place a 1-star rating was too generous. It's no wonder that restaurants like these end up closing - their service is abysmal, slow, and the food is not even worth the hassle.

I really enjoyed the Frisco melt, chili mac, double steak burger, and peanut butter milkshake at this restaurant. I will definitely be ordering from here again. Thank you, Steak and Shake!
