Restaurant bewertenI've been here a handful of times over the last few years. It's been going down hill at a steady rate. This time we ordered avocado breakfast dish which had eggs, the eggs were undercooked to the point that the egg white parts were still raw. Looked like mucus. Also had a Acai bowl which was very average. For the same price I'm used to getting something with much better presentation and taste. When you compare the prices at this place versus a good quality cafe, the prices are at least 20% too high. I will not be coming back anymore. It's really poor food, high priced and the staff service isn't great either. Oh and the coffee was nothing special either.
There were 7 in our group who had breakfast here on a Sunday morning. The food was delicious. I ordered the "Spendlove in the morning" which was the big breakfast and enough to keep me going all day. My wife had the Bircher Muslei which was delicious, and such a big serving she couldn't eat it all.Just about everyone ordered something different, and all enjoyed it.The coffee was excellent.I'll leave the best for last....the girls looking after us couldn't have been more friendly and attentive. They were always topping our water up and checking on us, and always had a smile on their face.If you had one of the discount vouchers, its superb value!
Staff where friendly food was horrible and would not recommend to anyone, 30$ pizza, that took 40 minutes to come out, the base was like cardboard and the vegetables on the pizza where oily and tasted foul. My friend order a the fillet steak and 2 peices of gravy steak came out on the dirty plate. Milk shake was good
Located away from the beaches at the Brickworks on Bundall Rd away from the Gold Coast beach precincts. Overall first impression was that it was a buzzy little cafe with an inviting atmosphere. I had a club sandwich which at $23 seemed expensive but I thought it must be good at that price. Not so! very disappointing, maybe at $15 I wouldn't have given it another thought. Even worse, when I got home I spent most of the evening in the toilet. As it was the only food I had consumed there was no doubt what had caused it. My wife had an entree sized Pork Belly with Mash, at $17, reasonably priced! Also disappointing! An overcooked, tough piece of Pork the size of your index finger with 2 teaspoons of mash piped on the plate. Should have complained! but the attitude of staff was in the couldn't care less category so decided it would be a waste of time.
The change of menu has seen this place come alive. The dishes are well thought out and are presented well. The staff are friendly and helpful
