Wimpy - Southend-on-Sea

The food at this restaurant was better than expected and served hot. We came here for a hot drink but decided to also have a meal, even though we didn't finish everything we ordered. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.

I drove to Wimpy two years ago. I was very happy because the lady the manager/owner was so sweet. She served me and my friend very quickly. Our food was good and fast. It was nicely cooked, and the presentation was nice. I have to be special about what I eat, and they made sure that my meal had nothing wrong in it. I would definitely say YES! Go here for a nice meal. Even if the restaurant is full, the staff still create polite and friendly to you. I like going here, even if it's just a cup of tea or coffee.

The Mega burger meal was nice, I wouldn 't say it was particularly mega in size but it was tasty. The actual restaurant was nothing special, it 's quite a small one but appeared clean and tidy. The staff were squabbling about something halfway through my meal and they didn 't appear overly happy. When I arrived I went to the counter, picked up a menu and sat myself down at a table. As I 've not been to wimpy in years I don 't know if this is the norm but there was no interaction with staff on my arrival they did come over to take my order after about 5mins though. Overall the food was overpriced but tasted fairly good, restaurant itself was middle of the road (I 'd say on par with Burger King). I wouldn 't say the staff were rude but they could have done with being more friendly/welcoming.

I drove 168 miles to get my new car in Essex and stumbled upon a Wimpy bar. I hadn't been to one in years, but I loved it. It was a shame that the milkshake machine was broken and there was no hand sanitization at the door.
