Lee's Family Bakery - South Shields

Good to see an independent bakery in a place like Shields offer vegan options. Lady serving did confuse gluten free with vegan at first till I explained. My muffins were rather flat. All cakes together stored in same shelf so risk of cross contamination.

I absolutely adore this restaurant. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about their vegan options. They have recently added vegan sausage rolls to their menu that are delicious (possibly even better than Greggs!), as well as vegan shortbread in fun dinosaur and unicorn shapes. They also offer vegan bread that is very tasty. I highly recommend this place.

Lovely independent bakery in Shields that offers vegan options. The staff seemed a bit confused at first, mistaking gluten-free for vegan, but quickly corrected once I clarified. Unfortunately, my muffins were not as fluffy as I had hoped. Also, all the cakes were stored together on the same shelf, increasing the risk of cross-contamination.

The staff at this restaurant is incredible and there are good food options available. I highly recommend trying the vegetable Thai pastry!
