Restaurant bewertenThought Waitrose would be more of a high end supermarket quality of food in the cafe. On my visit today that wasn 't the case. I ordered a packed lunch for my little girl and a breakfast for myself. Because most of the hot food on the Menu was unavailable. My little girl had eaten her sandwich, crisps, fruit and biscuit by the time my breakfast came out 35 minutes later!. By then she was ready to leave and my coffee was finished. It came out with Burnt eggs, cold mushroom and only the fat off bacon. Toast came with sachets of butter that was already fully melted and had poured out all over me when I picked it up.! Only thing that was decent and hot was the beans. Very disappointed and won 't order a breakfast here again.
Just enjoyed an excellent latte at Waitrose cafe, Walton-le-Dale! One of the best I’ve ever had at this cafe! Excellent blend of coffee steamed milk which retained its frothiness to the very last drop! Thank you Jayne!
We live locally and have shopped at Waitrose many times but never been to the cafe. Today we decided to have coffee and cake. Unfortunately the cakes on offer were not to our liking but they had a very good deal on a cream tea for £4. This included a regular tea or coffee of your choice with a fruit or plain scone, clotted cream and jam. As coffees are priced at over £3, the offer was a great price and tasted good too!
Oh Waitrose, thy shelves with bounty glow, A feast for senses, with riches untold, From finest meats to freshest of snow, Thy aisles are treasure trove, all unfold. In thee I find my shopping pleasure, With quality goods at fair prices and more, In every aisle, from food to leisure, Thou hast what I need, that I adore. And thy staff, so helpful, kind and bright, Adding to the ambiance so right, Their warmth and service, shining so bright. So here's to thee, Waitrose, my delight, For thee I'll always choose, day or night. In thee, I find a shopping delight, Thou art the store that never shall I slight. But you could improve on the bacon front
I thought that Booths cafe's were slow until I came with my sister today to the Waitrose cafe, We waited ages in a relatively short queue. There only seemed to be one person behind the counter serving and making the drinks. I ordered a tea and a chicken pesto toastie and ordered my sister a soup with bread and butter. The food did come out fairly fast, but there was no butter for the bread so we had to get that and the toastie looked rather boring on the plate there was no garnish or anything with it. Food was fine but those extra little touches were just missing. Service needs to speed up a lot to encourage us to go back.
