Stopped with cycling group. Service good, cakes amazing and sausage roll divine. Home made and real flavour. I will go again.
We popped into the Red Lion for a bit of dinner before a camping trip. What a lovely place. We sat outside in the garden which was calm and peaceful. The sun was shining too so it was perfect. The food was fantastic, we had...a full 3 courses! The staff were friendly and professional and the service was quick! Would definitely recommend a visit!
We visited this restaurant for the second time in two weeks and both times we chose to sit inside. Both times we enjoyed delicious fish lunches. The fish was cooked perfectly, accompanied by tasty vegetables, sauces, salad, and beautifully presented. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and the restaurant had a welcoming atmosphere. The garden area, full of happy customers, was clean and attractive, even providing a bowl of water for dogs. The attached Barn had a great shop selling fresh bread, cakes, and ice cream, among other goods.
On our way back from visiting Canons Ashby, my friend and I discovered a wonderful gem of a restaurant. Initially disappointed to hear that they only served toasted sandwiches on Tuesdays, we decided to give it a try anyway. We both ordered the fish toastie and were blown away by how delicious it was - truly the best we've ever had! The service was excellent and the prices were very reasonable. We will definitely be returning!
