Deli Ek .co.uk - South Lanarkshire

I stopped by for a sandwich and a latte and was shocked to see one of the servers preparing lunch without gloves, using their bare hands to handle food and touch the sandwich. I was very concerned about the lack of cleanliness in the restaurant. It used to be a nice deli, but now it seems more geared towards schoolchildren, like a fast food cafe. I will not be returning.

No one is wearing face masks, only gloves are being used to handle food. The service was very abrupt from a new girl serving us. The prices are too high! I recommend avoiding this place and going to Greggs next door instead.

Seems ek deli have changed the hands. used to be good quality and affordable with nice employees, totally opposite now. for a crowning chicken roasted package that was frozen inside. is regularly visited when in ek, but not be back

I am soou triggered and annoyed with the customer service, I went with a friend to lunch, my friend ordered her to eat the staff, where very nice and polite to her, but when it came to me, I asked for brown brot and. an anointing because I am a healthy eater and the personal where sooo cheeky and rude to speak about me and my order on negative wise right in front of me. they do not have the right to talk about a paying customer so, especially if the bankrupt is right in front of them. the way they discussed about me and my eating really triggered me I have eating problems so it really ruined my day

Think there’s been a change of management and it’s totally gone down hill. Such a shame, maybe they think customers won’t notice but the person who’s taken over doesn’t seem to “care” things a strewn around, the quality of the coffee beans is so much...lower, the general quality of the food/meant the amount of variety on offer. It’s turned into a cheap product greasy spoon type of place. Previously it was a lovely DELI with high quality products. Such a shame but gradually people will notice. The queue for greggs is now bigger than the queue for the deli which is sad but a reflection of the cheap quality.
