Fire Rock Cafe - South Bend

Very friendly, knowledgeable staff, this is one of my favorite places to buy here before location.

Bizarre experience. my friend and I stopped at lunch, the bar approached and said, "one sits there." we were then asked to show id, although we don't order drinks, okay, it's a bar we understand. but then we were told that we “do not look like” our ids. we have different hair styles in our ids, but often go to bars and never have this problem anywhere else. we are 25 and do not look like children. I'm sure they just didn't want us. we had to go. recommend the chicory Cafe-Btw for lunch and coffee, and they also serve alcohol. that is not even a “Cafe”.

Server was great and very friendly but food and environment wasn't. We got burgers, mine was over cooked and my partners was under cooked and her fries were over cooked. Also I got one of their speciality burgers just the way it came and it was a bit plain. Sever did ask if I wanted to add anything to it I just didn't realize it would need more. I feel like the burger should be complete by its self. Have a build a burger option if you want that, not every burger be a build a burger and call it something else just by what cheese and one item you put on it.. The environment was weird too, seemed to be catching some looks from the bar. Could of just been me but seemed like it's a place for locals/regulars only. Not very inviting ?

Staff is amazing!! My boyfriend and I love going here. It is my favorite place to go!!
