Restaurant bewerten“Coca” is the Mallorcan equivalent of pizza. At the bar in the corner of the Municipal Market in Sóller, the French proprieter Anne serves her own home-made coca. I called in for a coffee, and as I sat at the bar, I spied a tray...of new-baked coca with a topping of caramelized onions, fresh figs and fresh rosemary. I simply had to try it and was not disappointed. The combination of the flaky pastry base and the sweet and savoury topping was irresistible. In fact, it was so good, that I came back later that day and bought all she had left. The bar is small and simple, located in one corner of the market. There are a few tables on the terrace outside and seating inside at the bar. The inhabitants of Sóller regularly visit for coffee, a glass of wine or a bite to eat during their busy working day. Anne, who is an excellent cook, makes all the food herself. The food is both healthy and inexpensive. The selection changes from day to day, but may include tortilla de patates, chilled beetroot soup, hummus, baba ganoush, baguette with tomato and olive oil, or albondigas. I really enjoy this little café/bar in the centre of town.
