Mr. Pampas - Puebla - Solana Beach

Upon arriving at the restaurant, I was told that they do not accept reservations. Luckily, I arrived early and was able to secure a table. I sympathize with those who make reservations for a specific time and then have to wait for their table. It can be frustrating to wait uncertainly for a seat to open up.

I was disappointed to see a separate menu for utensils at this restaurant, as I have seen at other places. However, the service was friendly and attentive even without me asking for the waiter or manager. They were accommodating when I requested a new waiter, who turned out to be excellent.

The waiters provided exceptional service and all of us were completely satisfied with our meals. None of us left feeling dissatisfied.

I can't imagine how frustrating it would be for someone who made a reservation for peak hours and arrived expecting to have their table guaranteed, only to be made to wait. That is not right.

I didn't like that they didn't have a menu in addition to the skewers like in other states. When I asked, neither the waiter nor the manager were friendly. I requested to be switched to a new waiter and the new one was very good.
